3/29/2023 0 Comments Rims racing mods![]() Fair warning with this one, if you get on the bad side of their faction, raiders can spawn with a 'blackbox' hediff that causes an explosion the size of an anti-grain shell when they die. If you use this, there is a re-texture mod to make them look more steam-punk.Īndroids: Use for a more humanoid race mod. Fairly lightweight, but still unique enough to stand out.Īndroid teirs: In-depth robot mod, a must have for most high tech playthroughs. If you want to play a Star Wars themed game, there are various other mods for that. There is also the Zabrak Race mod (the species of darth maul). I generally consider this Twi'lek mod to be better made (in the settings for SWR you can turn off their version). They have some reasonable changes (ewoks are smaller, etc.), but nothing too in-depth. Star Wars Races: Just what it sounds like, a collection of various races from Star Wars. You can also get each race individually, various tech to go along with the FTL them, and a 6th Lanius race from the Lighter Than Fast Collection. Generally one of my go to mods for Sci-fi settings. Lighter Than Fast: Five unique races from FTL, each with their own abilities and features. It depends on what kind of setting you are trying to go for Royal Genome has a mutation chance that gives +25% social impact so always try to get this one on your anties. Pairs well with Vanilla Factions Expanded - Insectoids if you want to inject them with insectoid DNA to make them even more bug-like and murderous. Nothing that can't be fixed with a few modded clothes and surgeries. Only real downside is that as you might expect, being so murder-happy can have a culture clash with the colonists, coupled with how their base social impact is only 10% because they communicate through pheromones or something. I also think they're better at weapon handling or something but I haven't looked that deep into technical details. Funniest thing they also get mood buffs for being insulted and debuffs when their rival dies. Have exoskeletons so they're already armored from the get-go. They love all kinds of violence, pretty much. Garaunteed mood buff for killing and observing fresh corpses, don't mind cannibalism or insect meat at all. They have a whole research section about mass butchering, crafting armor, weaponry and can even make (weak) defensive walls with no material cost. These cuties were MADE for war, like if you have Combat Extended or want to make some empire-like colony with lots of raiding and combat, it is a MUST. But for now, I'll stop here.Īnty The War Ant is definitely one of my favorites that I don't see enough appreciation on this sub. If you want me to suggest any more races, let me know. They are one of those races that can't use vanilla equipment, however, so keep that in mind if you play with them. Their blood can be used for medicine and have a few other interesting stuff that comes with them. As far as I know, they should all work with 1.3.įinally, there's Moyo - From The Depth: Blue slug girls from the depths of the ocean to live life on land. ![]() There's even a Crossover mod that lets you have all three from the get-go. SYR also has Naga and Thrumkin if they are more your speed. But they definitely can add a bit more spice to your game. They're a bit of a challenge, requiring you to manage their bloodlust to keep them from causing trouble. It makes my game feel more sci-fi without sacrificing the balance or add anything extra for me to worry about. But I use this one in the majority of my games. Xenohumans - Anthromorphs don't really have any special gimmicks you have to deal with. XenoDiversity Precept is also a good one if you want ideologies to have an opinion on xeno races. First, you will want Pawnkind Race Diversification if you want to see mod races pop up in other factions other than your own.
